David Kent, M.D. View This Provider's Policies Dr. Kent practices general psychiatry, preferring to treat ages 12 and up. His primary focus is on patients needing medications to manage their illness. He started his private practice in Boise in 1990, serving in a wide array of settings. Sage Health Care has been his home base, where he is a co-founder and active owner.
Dr. Kent treats the following biologically based mental illnesses: depression, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and attention deficit disorder. He also has extensive experience treating patients with co-existing alcohol and polysubstance abuse. Patients can expect candor and openness in regards to their diagnosis, treatment and prognosis. Patients can also be assured of total confidentiality as protected by law. Counseling for patients is referred when needed.
