The majority of the providers seeing patients within our clinic are private practices and thus are separate entities from Sage. The following are the only providers which are Sage employees:

If you need to release or obtain records, please make sure you fill out the release for Sage Health Care. Releases can be obtained by click on “learn more” link located under you provider name. You will see a section that says form and a link to Release of Information. Please fill that out and either email to info@sage-healthcare.com or fax to 208-323-9604.

Our Providers

Psychiatrists

A Psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.  Psychiatrists can prescribe medication. Some patients choose to also do therapy in addition to visits with a psychiatrist. Our psychiatrists are all board certified or eligible with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Our psychiatrists have many years of experience in treating various aged patients with a variety of mental disorders. If you are not sure if you need an appointment with a psychiatrist vs another type of provider, please call our office and we would be glad to discuss your options.

Nurse Practitioners

A nurse practitioner (NP) does not need the supervision of a medical doctor.  He or she can prescribe medication and will provide similar treatment as a medical doctor. We currently have three NPs (Heidi Paine, PMHNP, Theresa Pecsek, PMHNP, and Michelle Cullinan, PMHNP) who see outpatients at our Sage Healthcare office.

Physician Assistants

A physician assistant (PA) works under the supervision of a medical doctor.  A physician assistant can prescribe medication and will provide similar treatment as a medical doctor.  We currently have one PA (Albert Darakjy) who treats patients in an outpatient setting here at Sage.  Our other two PAs treat patients in an inpatient basis only.

Therapists

In our office we have licensed clinical social workers (LCSW) and licensed clinical professional counselors (LCPC). Though there are different requirements for each of the degrees, functionally they are the same.  Therapists do not prescribe medication, but instead use psychotherapeutic methods to help people struggling with mental and or emotional health.  If you would like more information about types of therapy used by our therapists, please call our office or refer to “Our Services” section of our website found on the home page.
